New Black Widow software. The Black Widow software has been updated with many new features (listed below). This is a 74 megabyte zip file. It is recommended that only customers with high speed Internet download this file.

  1. Handles modem downloads better.
  2. New testing feature, View Last Call, allows technicians to see what happened during last nights call. This will make things easier to troubleshoot. It is located under Test>Diagnostics.
  3. Handles sending files to Galaxy II machines better. The network on the Galaxy II must still be 9600bd.
  4. Arachnids default leagues (2001, 2002 and 2003) are now restored when Reset leagues is used.
  5. Casual mode Handicapping.
  6. Hammer Cricket is now available for casual play.
  7. Now works with LeagueLeader.
  8. Force an Internet call to LeagueLeader, in attract mode only, by hitting Trip 20 five times.
Version: 3.12 DOWNLOAD Update Posted: October 3rd, 2002
This update fixes problems with ads not playing (machine will only play oneliners) after updating to 3.12 Build 4975 from an older (pre-2.91) version of the Black Widow. If your Black Widow stopped playing ads after you updated your software, download this update now to prevent it from happening again and to fix existing machines. Simply open this file from its current location, and extract it to your ZIP disk that contains the 3.12 Build 4975 software update (i.e., if your ZIP drive is E:, put your existing software update disk in, type E:\ in the destination box, and click Unzip, and when it's finished, click Close). Make sure the "Overwrite files without prompting" checkbox is checked, or the patch may not be applied. You can now use this update disk to update any unupdated machines, or to fix broken machines (simply reupdate them). Note: This update will also fix the problem fixed by update 4975_up.exe (problem with too many locations on ZIP disk causing some machines not to get files), so you don't need both.
